Bill Henson - Landscapes
Published on the occasion of the 2016 Exhibition of the same name at Castlemaine Art Museum. ‘Bill Henson: Landscapes’ captures the haunting convergence of opposites; two worlds, darkness and light. An exhibition of landscape works that connect the macroscopic threads of human existence to the microscopic emotions of the individual, occupying a ‘between space’ of contrasting forces. These major works are presented as an immersive installation, and through these landscapes, Henson connects us to a collective history, exploring complicated notions of temporality at the vanishing point between darkness and light.
